IN SOLIDARITY WITH ALL PUNK ROCK BROTHERS IN BANDA ACEH, INDONESIA

Several days ago there was a news report about police in Banda Aceh, Indonesia arresting punk rockers and forcing them to have hair cuts and baths. This is the BRUTAL DEATH-METAL website but those people who know me know I'm a strong supporter of punk rock and the punk rock politics and ethos. We stand in support of all punk rock brothers in Banda Aceh. Thirty years ago it was Johnny Rotten and the Sex Pistols who released the great single "God Save the Queen" (1977) for Queen Elizabeth II's Jubilee Year celebrations and the ruling-class in England did everything possible to put an end to the Sex Pistols. Joe Strummer of The Clash and Wattie Buchan of The Exploited were important voices protesting against Margaret Thatcher's right-wing extremism and the crushing of the working-class and the trade-unions.
As Wattie said, Punk's Not Dead...
